Air Assault
How hard is it to get to Air Assault then Pathfinder?
I just joined as a 19D (Cav Scout) and was wondering how hard it would be to get into Air Assault then Pathfinder ASAP out of BCT. I want to get as many specialties as I can. My ASVAB score was 78 and my GT score was 118 will that help?
Well…if you get stationed in FT Campbell…going to air assault school right out of BCT is easy! If you can climb a rope after getting the heck smoked out of you…you will be fine. Just tell your 1SG you want to go to TSAAS and I’m sure he’ll accommodate you. Pathfinder is another story. Pathfinder has a high failure rate b/c the school is so tough. In my unit, SSG or Officers are being sent…50% have failed. However, the Army is what you make of it! If you have the desire, knowledge, and physical stamina, you can do anything! Good luck!
