will the army contact tricare about medical history?
I plan on joining the army but have had anxiety issues and have been on medication in the past for it. Will the army get any medical information from tricare since I’m currently a military spouse?
tricare doesnt obtain any information because they are an insurance company. however the military will do a records check and depending on the job you want you may have to sign a medical information release form.
your recruiter only knows what you allow him to know medically…. however if you are found after enlistment to have lied… you will be discharged and prosecuted for fraudulent enlistment.
as long as you can show that you are no longer on the medication and are not reliant on it you should have no problem enlisting… however you may not have many choices as to what job you get.
