How long does it take for a re enlistment bonus from the Army National Guard?
My husband just re-enlisted for another six years to the Army National Guard. His original ETS date was May 19, 2009. However, he resigned his papers on May 2nd. When is he supposed to receive his enlistment bonus? How long after this date does it normally take?
He wont receive anything until at least the original ETS date, since that’s when his new enlistment actually begins. Once that date comes up, he’ll have to make sure the paperwork gets submitted promptly, and ideally he may see the money the following month, or else the month after that.
Do you know if he’s getting a lump-sum payment? Or getting half up front, half at the end? That would depend on the contract that he signed.
