What’s the best way to wash a ball cap without it losing its shape?

Can I put it in the washer?

THOSE LITTLE CAP CAGES WORK REALLY WELL IN THE DISHWASER, TOO, AND DONT BEAT THEM UP AS BAD AS A CLOTHES WASHER. PUT IT ON THE TOP RACK THEN SCRUNCH IT WITH A DRY TOWEL TO SPEED UP DRYING.
