What shirts do SWAT members wear under their vests?

Is it a BDU shirt?

No, most BDU shirts are cotton, which is really only good for moisture retention. The brand of choice is UnderArmour HeatGear, as it’s designed specifically to wick the sweat away from your body (though since the sweat goes straight to your vest, you end up washing it a lot lol). Also, since police officials are on (often short) government pay, there are generic types of undershirts designed very similarly to do the same thing, for a lower price. In essence, we just wear whatever’s the most comfortable, and what will keep us driest.
