how strong is the body armor united states military uses?

does each branch have different body armor? what are the differences? how tough is the body armor?

It not pretty good, It uses old style ceramic plates that shatter upon impact. ad always remember, your army stuff was made by the lowest bidder. on a scale of 1-10 its about a 2.
