Boer War
Can anyone give me a quick overview of the Boer War? And what is the aparatheid?
I have a friend who moved from South Africa and she told me about these concentration camps in the Boer War.
And, well, it sounds pretty bad, to say the least.
And also the aparatheid, I know this was the seperation of the white and black people in South Africa.
But could someone please give me some SIMPLE answers, instead of encyclopidic things!
I’ve done a bit of reading, but it has made me very confused!
Please help!
Apartheid is like a segration between the blacks and the whites.They had this meeting called the berlin confrence to divide up Africa only no african leaders were invited it was all white eurupean leaders.So,they divided it up so the blacks got barely anything.And,the whites though there were less of them got the good land, the good crops……..They put together natural enemies,tribes that killed each other because they didn’t like each other,so there was alot of violence going on.Nelson Mandela (U may have heard he just had a big b-day) a balck man foight for blacks right5s and got jailed for a long time 4 it but, when he finally got out he became president of Africa.And,all this happend from 1948-1994.
