What is the meaning of the song “Buffalo Soldier” by Bob Marley?
I checked and Buffalo Soldier was a nickname given to members of African American cavalry regiments of the U.S. Army who served in the western United States from 1867 to 1896, mainly fighting Indians on the frontier. The nickname was given by the Indians.

sounds like he is praising the black soldiers. shame he forgot to mention the part about them killing natives..that was not a war. it was genocide. nothing to be honoring.
