in the HVAC field, there are a few positive displacement compressors, does anybody know which ones they are?

I have the centrifugal, the scroll, the rotary, the piston, and the gear type compressors, which is not positive displacement?

Of all you have named only the centrifugal is not a positive displacement compressor. It works by imparting velocity to the refrigerant and the velocity is then converted to pressure.
