German Wehrmacht

German Wehrmacht
In WWII, did the Germans Ultimately lose the war by NOT invading and finishing off England?

The Germans made many mistakes during the war (this includes the war in the East and in all theaters of battle). Do you all feel that this was one of the biggest and perhaps one the most disastrous that sealed the fate of the Wehrmacht and the German people?

Overwhelming the British would have allowed the Wehrmacht to devote more of it’s resources and assets to the Ostfront and ,assuming that the enemies’ capitol Moscow had been taken the same year that Operaton Barbarossa was launched( a basic tenet of warfare ), the Allies , less the British and it’s colonial forces , would lack the staging – area necessary to marshal it’s own forces for an invasion of (France) the European main-land .
Operation SeaLion , had it been successful , may have given Germany hegemony over the whole of Europe despite any efforts on the part of the Allies to ultimately persevere .
