Japanese Wwii

I can not find a phonetic pronunciation for the WWII Japanese Battle-cruiser Hiei?

I searched several sites and either they don’t even try to do it, or they say none is available. Can anyone help me out. I always assumed that it was all vowels pronounced, Hi ee i. Someone told me this was wrong and the final i was silent.

It is pronounced Hi e i.
