Have a Lee Enfield Mk3 is factory converted to K Hornet[Lithgow].How do i lighten, replace or refine th trigger

This rifle still has th original military trigger n i dont know how snipers used them effectivly, there must be a few tricks to th trade to get a lighter smoother trigger.Or just better men!

I don’t know what a “K Hornet” is, but the SMLE No 1 Mk III I know fairly well.

The Enfields had a typical two-stage military trigger of that era and depending on wear or “mixed manufacturer” parts can range anywhere from heavy and gritty to dangerously light.

Modifying the trigger on any firearm is a potentially DANGEROUS activity. It should be left to an experienced and qualified Gunsmith.

I have 25 years of experience in working on my own firearms and especially restoring and customizing military surplus rifles and I ALWAYS pay a smith do any trigger work. A botched trigger job can have deadly consequences.

The first thing you should do is to order a replacement trigger and sear, then have a smith work on the replacement parts so that you can return your rifle to it’s factory correct configuration by replacing the original parts. With parts and the services of a qualified gunsmith, this should cost you about $100. Look at the link for the process involved.

Also, you can order a custom trigger for your Enfield. I recommend one from Huber, they offer fully adjustable match-grade triggers and are perfect for accurate target work and hunting. Second link below.
