Do you know of celebrities who buy Screaming Eagle wines?
Or who else (if not celebrities) could afford a bottle of such wine…
The Wine Auction was in June, and while I wasn’t there this time, I have been there before with a free pass for working there. I read the results of the top lots this year, including Screaming Eagle. In all honesty, while I’m sure celebrities do buy it, there weren’t any there when I was, and I didn’t recognize any of the top bidders the last 3 years. From what I saw and read, the bidders are just wealthy people. Old money, CEO’s, women with too much money and time,
Teri Hatcher was there a couple years ago, and Dana Carvey this year, but they weren’t allowed to bid because they were just the emcees.
