Poll: What is cooler Russia, Soviet Russia, or Canada?
I love hockey so these are my favorite countries, but which one is cooler?
For Soviet Russia, I meant that back when Soviet Russia was a country, was it cooler than Russia/Canada today?
I’m Canadian and used to be a Montreal fan. The demographics of this country are changing fast. Most youngsters are either immigrants themselves or the children of immigrants. They like cricket or soccer and don’t even consider hockey. So Canada is going downhill as a hockey-playing country.
The USSR doesn’t exist any more, so Russia (which doesn’t have nearly as much cultural upheaval as Canada) is, as far as hockey goes, probably the cooler nation.
