how long does it take to rank up each rank from the last in the army infantry airborne?

how long would it take to move up from each rank like pvt to pfc pfc to cpl etc (like average joe not rambo lol) in the army infantry airborne

oh and whats the difference between specialist and corporal? and is there a difference?

Promotions up to E4 are almost automatic should be E4 within 2 years. (this may have changed)

Both Specialist and Corporal are E4′s, The difference is that a Corporal has command responsibilities.
