I have a 95 jeep limited very low miles excellent condition went to start the car it turns over but wont start?
I have a 95 jeep limited very low miles excellent condition went to start the car it turns over but wont start its like it has run out of fuel but it has half a tank and I can hear the fuel pump working when I first start the engine I have never had any problems with this car before very frustrated just want to know what the problem is
More than likely the crank position sensor. If it goes out, that is exactly what you will get. It tells the computer where piston #1 is and tells the computer to fire the spark plug when the piston is in position. If the computer gets no signal from the CPS, it will crank but never turn over. You will be able to hear the fuel pump when you turn the key, but since it wont fire the plug, the car will crank and not start.
