Combat Shirt

How come Veterans get mad at me because my shirt says “Proud to be a REMF”?

The combat Vets know they wouldn’t have lasted 4 days without me. When I did show up they (In war zone) thanked me. Now they say they have no respect for REMF. I just give them a shirt and ask Why do you not take this shirt? “BUT” when I handed you supplies and food/medical you took it from my hand. Combat Vets put down the Air Force Vets but when we used to roar in with our F4s the Combat vets would get on their knees and say “Thank God! Now they snear at us. all I can say is “Have a nice day guys”. OH! You lost Vietnam and you will lose Iraq too. Get ready to be bitter again.
