Desert Storm

How was Operation Desert Storm unlike any other war the United States had fought?

I don’t just need random information on the war, but HOW was it UNLIKE other wars the US fought?

The US led coalition used primiraly airstrikes and ship based missles to take out specific targets prior to sending in ground troops. Based on loses of previous wars it was feared that a ground led campaign may cost 40-50k US soldiers, so US generals decided to use aerial strikes until they felt Iraq was damaged enough that our ground troops would face little resistance. They were correct. When the US Army and Marinies went in they easily overpowered the Iraqi forces.
