Crye Camouflage replacing ACU digital?
Hi. I’ve been hearing rumors that the Army has decided to change the standard uniform from the Digital ACUs: http://www.ngms.state.ms.us/rr/Images/acu.JPG to the better, harder to see Crye Multicam: http://www.weepic.com/out.php/i5920_multicamcryebackground.jpg
Is this all just speculation or has the decision been made up?
Please only answer if you are at least 90% sure. And please provide proof if possible.
I can’t say Crye is actually better, but it seems to blend in much better than the digital we are using right now. And thank you, I’ve never heard of the UCP Delta, but I looked it up and it seems like a good pattern as well. The ACUs are just too bright it seems, and the colors aren’t too great at blending in.
It is true that when dust gathers on the uniform, it blends better.
the army has been talking about going to multicam for a while, right now they’re debating between multicam and UCP delta. rumor has it that there are 2 combat battalians that are “field testing” each uniform in afghan right now…rumor also has it that they’re going to base the decision off of that. bout time they start listening to someone who’s actually doing missions.
acu’s actually work pretty good, but only after you’ve gotten a nice coating of dust on them. clean they dont work for shit.
