Army enlisted to Navy officer switch?
I am currently an enlisted e-4 and I want to switch to become a Navy officer. If anyone can give me any info on this or knowledge of how to do it, I would appreciate it. I have 2 degrees and I am 2 years in to a 5 year contract in the army. Thanks a lot in advance.
I enlisted in the Navy in 1960 with a BA in Math. When it came time to extend for my E-6, somebody dusted off my degree and recommended me to OCS. I spent the rest of 25 years as an officer.
Talk to your chain of command. You’re probably not going anywhere without their support. If you’re a 4.0 soldier, and if you’re not in a critical specialty, and if you command supports you, you have a prayer. How do you know? If they support your goal, they’ll help you.
