Special forces unit patch?
I am PFC Salka i am in IET status however my designated unit is 3rd BN 20th SF and i was curious if i am authorized to wear the unit patch and if so then what unit patch and tabs should i wear. and if you can please quote 670-1
also the unit crest? do i wear the traditional SF crest and on which flash?
You would wear the standard Special Forces patch on your left shoulder that everyone assigned to a SF unit wears. The airborne tab is a part of the patch so it goes along with it. However, this does not mean that you are airborne qualified.
Also, unless you have been to Special Forces school, then you are not authorized to wear the Special Forces tab.
EDIT: You will not be wearing a beret while in BCT/AIT so the wearing of the crest at this point is moot.
