What is an easy way to cut(along the selvage edge) long strips of quilting fabric?

I need to cut 2 strips 6 1/2″ wide and 76″ long for the side boarders of my lap quilt and I want to make sure it’s as straight as I can get it.My cutting mat is only 17″ by 23″. I would like to get suggestions an easy way go about cutting the strips.

I would fold the fabric into fourths and then cut with my rotary cutter.

I love my rotary cutter and mat. I use it in all types of sewing. I recommend it to anyone that sews…invest in the biggest cutting mat you can afford.
