What kind of ships land the most in the USN?

One of the reasons I want to join the navy is cause of the cheap travel. What kind of ship would I want to get on?

Don’t go for the sub service. They spend a lot of time at sea.
Request a surface ship. In my opinion would be a smaller ship, like a destroyer. Reason being there is a smaller crew and you get to know almost everyone on board. During deployment you will go into many ports. Be it a Med cruise or a cruise to WESTPAC.
When I was in I went to Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Lebanon. 6Th fleet cruise on a destroyer.
