German War

There is a well know Quote from a German War Criminal (Holocaust) that was written just before his execution?
I think they were a General in the Wehrmacht or maybe someone high up in the Nazi party. Just before they were executed in Israel they wrote a verse that said something like;
“I know what I did was wrong and I hope I can be forgiven……”
I need to know who said this and what it says in its entirety.
The only civil execution ever carried out in Israel was that of Adolph Eichmann in 1962. According to official records, his last words were,
“Long live Germany. Long live Austria. Long live Argentina. These are the countries with which I have been most closely associated and I shall not forget them. I had to obey the rules of war and my flag. I am ready.”
If indeed the words you wrote were written by a Nazi war criminal, they weren’t from Eichmann, and they weren’t from anyone tried and executed in Israel. Eichmann was the only one.
