Third Reich….?

Can someone please explain what the third reich means, i hear it all the time when learning about the nazi’s but i have no clue what it means, thanks for your time!

Reich in German means like kingdom or empire.

In German classification, the first Reich was between the IX century ( with Charlemagne ) to the XIX century.

The second was between 1870, when Prussia won the war against France. The German princes gathered in Paris and proclaimed the German empire, which ended in 1918, after WWI.

The third began in 1933, when Hitler was named chancellor and ended in 1945, when Germany was defeated in WWII.
