Will American involvement in Afghanistan be as good for USA as Soviet involvement there was for USSR?
The Soviet War in Afghanistan is The United State’s Vietnam War… Moscow become extremely poor from this war, as the the mujaheddin were being supported by the United States, U.K., Pakistan and China (etc.). Most people agree that the mujaheddin perpetuated the entire collapse of the Soviet Union. For Russia, Afghanistan was political and a failure.
The same can be said with the U.S’s current involvement. Of course, the Taliban are decreasing every day, however, the United States is wasting money on exaggerated benefits. The U.S will not benefit from the war, just like the Soviets.
